0Why Does A Good God Allow Evil?
Today, we remember the horrific attacks that were leveled against the United States of America. We recall the images of death and destruction from the pure evil that manifested itself killing thousands of innocent people. And as the day winds down, there’s that little thought in the back of our minds, “Why does a good God allow evil?” While there is much that could be said on the subject, perhaps the two resources below provide some of the best answers that the Bible gives.
1. – If God is so good and powerful, why do bad things happen?
This is a clip of Pastor Voddie Baucham‘s message “The Supremacy of Christ and Truth in a Postmodern World” given at the 2006 Desiring God National Conference. Pastor Voddie gets the bottom of it all with a frank, honest assessment of the question. (View entire message here.)
2. The Gospel and September 11
Pastor David Platt unpacks what God’s word says about good, evil, and the Gospel and how they all relate. The message comes with an available study notes and small groups guide. Click the image to visit page or click here.
3. God’s Devil
Theologian R.C. Sproul explains that though Satan has his moments of apparent victory here on earth, they are in no way a match for the mighty God of the Bible.
It is our hope and prayer that these resources will bless you and help you and others better understand our God. In the words of Martin Luther, “Even the devil is God’s devil.”
Soli Deo Gloria,
