Sermon: A Promise and a Principle

One of the most misused verses in all of the Bible today is Jeremiah 29:11. We must read Scripture in context because, if not, when our misunderstanding of Scripture comes against the truth of the reality of life, it’s our error and not God’s inability to make His promises come true. This sermon will examine Jeremiah 29:11 in context of the bigger story and show how on the surface it is not just a promise we can rip from context and make our “life verse”. However, as New Testament believers we can get a principle from it.
